The Team

Stephen Smith has been cutting for over seventeen years, is a founder member of the United Kingdom Facet Cutters’ Guild and is currently the Guild’s education officer. He also teaches gemstone cutting, both through the local education authority community education program and privately in the Smithcraft workshop. Stephen also demonstrates the craft of gemstone cutting at several gem and mineral shows around the country.

Mavis Smith has been cutting for eight years and she also demonstrates at gem and mineral shows around the country.

Andrew and Kathryn Smith are both enthusiastic novice cutters who are also very keen demonstrators at various gem and mineral shows in the U.K.
